10) How do I connect my mechanical ground to a Polycarbonate enclosure starter?
Our low cost line of enclosed motor starters, "LC" and "LCL", use Nema 4X Polycarbonate enclosures. The starter is mounted to a steel back plate that is attached to inside of the enclosure but does not provide a grounding means. Polycarbonate is not a conductor and does not need to be grounded. You should however attached your ground wire to the ground wire running to your machine or to your motor housing for short circuit safety.
